schedule your Sessions

Please contact Framework Pilates directly to schedule an appointment if you are a Pilates student/teacher, a professional fitness/movement instructor or bodyworker, or a local business owner to take advantage of our community specials.

FIRST APPOINTMENT TIPS

Your first appointment is for me to get to know you and your movement patterns. As such, there will be a lot of dialogue between you and me about how you are moving, what sensations you may be feeling as you move, awareness around your shoulder, rib, and pelvic positions, etc. Please be patient - it will be worth it to deepen your mind-body connection!

ATTIRE

Wear unrestrictive clothing that you feel comfortable moving in and allows me to see the positions of your body. Many exercises are lying down or inverted, so be sure to wear the appropriate layers. Feel free to bring your own water. We practice Pilates in either bare feet or socks. Socks are optional, but grippy style is recommended if you do want to wear socks.

PARKING

Free, unmetered parking around the studio on Rock Street or any of the cross streets.

TRAINING SESSIONS

All sessions begin with a combination of Pilates exercises and mobility drills to address your specific physical needs. This warm-up gently stretches the spine and eases the body and mind into the workout. Every workout is a full body workout (unless you are experiencing an injury that needs to be modified around) customized by utilizing different combinations of the apparatus and mat work to challenge you. Each session ends with a restorative cool-down. Training is different than just exercising - training is where change happens!

You are only as young as your spine is flexible.

Alissa is great!!! She assists me with working on my form because I have multiple old injuries and compensations that still bother me sometimes. We also work on improving some other movements that I do once per week at my personal training session like squats or rows to make sure everything I do is consistent. I love that she and my other trainer are on the same page. Alissa is kind and welcoming. Give her a chance, you won’t be disappointed!
